Sydney Chaffee is named 2017 Massachusetts Teacher of the Year.

(May) A ninth grade humanities instructor at Codman Academy in Dorchester, she is the first charter school teacher to win the state-wide award and the first charter school teacher in the U.S. to be named National Teacher of the Year on April 20, 2017.
